To Whom it may concern,
I am a 79 year old lady, I have difficulties with my mobility and my 90 year old husband has poor eyesight.
We cannot praise Llanwrtyd Wells Community Transport (LWCT) highly enough. Since my husband stopped driving, if it wasn’t for LWCT we would feel very isolated. Nothing is too much bother for them. If we have any problems they will help us if they can.
Last year I was hospitalised in Abergavenny, 45 miles from home, then transferred to Builth Wells, 13 miles from home. LWCT brought my husband to see me regularly, for which I was very grateful. Even bringing him over on Christmas day so he could have lunch with me.
Due to the fact that we are both classed as vulnerable during this Covid19 pandemic, LWCT regularly do our weekly shopping, collect prescriptions, take our cat to the vet and various other things we may request.
One of their volunteer drivers has become one of our friends to such an extent that he evens cooks us a roast dinner every Sunday and delivers it to us!
I know for a fact that we are not the only people that LWCT serve like this. Other people in this very rural area get the same sort of service and if it wasn’t for this excellent dedicated team, then life in this area would be so much different.
Yours Sincerely
Mollie Taylor
