Service Updates

Some of us are working from home where possible due to current lockdown restrictions, but we are still available for journeys every day. Summer Bank Holiday (30/08/2021) : We are open as usual! 

We are able to supply transport free of charge for anyone in our local area with an appointment at the one of the Mass Vaccination Centres (Royal Welsh Showground or Bronllys Hospital) also Builth Wells Surgery and Llandrindod Wells Surgery for a COVID-19 Vaccination. Clearly there will be demand for this service, so please contact us as soon as you are able if you would like us to help you (we do have a wheelchair friendly vehicle for those who cannot access an ordinary car). This service is for our local community, however please contact us and if you are out of our catchment area we will try and point you in the right direction for other transport services.

Between 1st January 2021 and 31st March 2021, we have undertaken 71 journeys enabling people to get to COVID-19 vaccination appointments. We have taken people to doctor’s surgeries in Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells, as well as to the mass vaccination centres in Bronllys, at the Royal Welsh Show site in Llanelwedd and also to Carmarthen. These journeys mean we have covered 1776 miles for vaccine appointments in just 3 months, an average of 25 miles per person. We are the CT service that likes to say “yes”.

The Community Car service has remained available throughout the pandemic and lock-downs.

We are able to collect and deliver prescriptions, shopping and pre-ordered take away food, take people to medical appointments, either locally or further afield like Hereford, Cardiff and others.

The Community Shopping Bus was started during the pandemic and is currently available free of charge. You do need to pre-register.

Currently, we cannot take people on our mini-bus to the town centres to shop for their groceries. This is because of the impossibility of social distancing. However, there are other alternatives that we can offer instead.

Unfortunately we have had to close until further notice the Heart of Wales Coffee Club held at Llanwrtyd Community Centre on Station Road due to guidelines from the government.
