I joined Llanwrtyd Wells Community Transport as a volunteer driver in 2017, shortly after retiring from full-time work. Originally from the Liverpool area, Mid-Wales has been my true home since 1973.
I began my career as an engineer with British Telecom, leaving in 1994 to work as a contractor across Britain. For the final twelve years of my working life, I served as Project Manager, overseeing the installation of power cables from wind farms to electrical substations.
As a volunteer driver, I enjoy meeting people and have forged many friendships through my work with LWCT. Beyond local journeys, I’ve driven passengers to appointments in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Swansea and beyond.
Whether you need transport to a medical appointment or a shopping trip, you may well find me behind the wheel, and I look forward to welcoming you on board.
